What happened to Byte aligners?
Byte's parent company suspended sales of Byte aligners and impression kits, and Byte is no longer available. SmileSet clear aligners let you finish straightening your teeth at home.
I was a Byte customer. Can I switch to SmileSet?
Yes. Former Byte customers can start SmileSet treatment from home. Your plan is built from new impressions and reviewed by a licensed dental professional.
Is there a discount for Byte customers?
Yes. Code BYTE takes an extra 20% off Aligner Treatment, and it is applied to your cart automatically on this page.
Do I need new impressions if I already did them with Byte?
Yes. Your teeth may have moved since your last Byte aligner, so SmileSet starts with new impressions from an at-home kit or a free SmileStudio 3D scan.
How long will it take to straighten my teeth?
Treatment can be completed in as little as 4-6 months if you choose All-Day Clear Aligners but can extend up to 6-9 months if you choosing Nighttime Clear Aligners to only straighten while you sleep but you should see results in as little as 30 days!
All-Day vs Nighttime aligners
What’s the difference between All-Day and Nighttime Aligners?
Both aligner types straighten teeth using our Comfort-Edge Technology and expert-created treatment plans. All-Day Aligners require 22 hours of wear daily and typically achieve results in 4–6 months. Nighttime Aligners are worn for 10 continuous hours while sleeping and generally take 6–9 months to complete treatment. Choose based on your goals and lifestyle.
